Cube Cube 2 is similar to Tetris, but you have total control over the placement of pieces.
The goal of the game is simple: score more points than your opponent to win!
Basic Rules:
Place pieces on the board one at a time.
Once you place all three pieces, new pieces will appear.
Complete a row or column to clear it from the board and score points.
Clear as many rows or columns as possible before time runs out.
The match ends when you run out of time or can’t place any more pieces.
Each match has a 3 minute time limit.
Each match of Cube Cube 2 is played against another player to see who can get the highest score.
You are matched against players of similar skill, but you may not be playing at the same time.
Board shape is always the same.
Pieces are randomized each match and appear in the same order for both players.
Cube Cube 2 scores can vary a lot depending on the order of the pieces you get. If you can score over 10,000 points you’ve done very well, but can you score over 20,000? Or 30,000? Challenge yourself!
You score points in Cube Cube 2 in three ways:
Placing pieces
Clearing pieces
Streaks and combos
Placing Pieces:
+10 points per block in the piece.
1 block pieces are worth 10 points, 2 block pieces are worth 20 points, etc.
Clearing Pieces:
+10 points per block cleared.
The board is 10 x 10, so each row or column cleared is worth 100 points.
Combos:
Awarded for clearing more than one row or column in a single move.
Maximum combo size is 6, since the largest piece covers 5 rows and 1 column.
Larger combos award more points:
2 rows/columns = +300 points
3 rows/columns = +600 points
4 rows/columns = +1000 points
5 rows/columns = +1500 points
6 rows/columns = +2100 points
Streaks:
Awarded for clearing rows or columns in back-to-back moves.
Maximum practical limit of 10 due to the 10 x 10 board size.
Longer streaks award more points:
2x “Great Streak” = +250 points
3x “Super Streak” = +400 points
4x “Mega Streak” = +550 points
5x “Awesome Streak” = +700 points
6x “Monster Streak” = +850 points
7x “Crazy Streak” = +1000 points
8x “Insane Streak” = +1150 points
9x “Ultra Streak” = +1300 points
10x “Master Streak” = +1450 points
A good strategy for Cube Cube consists of two phases: Building and Clearing.
Building:
Try to build from a corner and stick to one half of the board if possible.
Some shapes are natural fits for each other, so keep an out eye for them.
For example, the 3x3 piece with a hole, and the 1 block.
Keep space open for a 3x3 or a 1x5, or two of them, so you don’t fail early.
Clearing:
Once the board is built up, it’s time to start a streak.
Prioritize streaks instead of combos since streaks are worth more per row or column cleared.
Fill as many gaps as possible and keep clearing to extend your streak.
General Tips:
Smart placements beat fast and bad placements.
Smart and fast beats all.
If you have one piece that will make a clear, place it last so you have an active streak going into the next round.
You can also play cash games to watch replays and learn your opponent's strategies.
Finally, practice makes perfect! Cube Cube is a game of skill; the better you are, the more you win.
